URA Puts Kids League, Insurance Contracts Up for Grabs

The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has launched a new procurement process, inviting eligible firms to bid for contracts to provide training services for its Kids League programme and insurance services under an open domestic bidding arrangement.

According to an abridged bid notice issued by the authority on social media on Monday, the procurement covers two separate contracts aimed at supporting employee welfare and institutional operations during the current financial year.

The first procurement is for the provision of training services for the URA Kids League under a framework contract. The contract, referenced as URA/CGO/NCON/25-26/05669, requires bidders to provide a bid security of Shs700,000. To help prospective bidders understand the requirements, URA has scheduled a pre-bid meeting for July 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. on the 13th Floor of the URA Tower Procurement Office in Kampala.

The second procurement is a retender for the provision of insurance services under reference URA/CSD/NCON/25-26/03557/04050. The tender is divided into several lots, each carrying different bid security requirements. Lot 4 requires a bid security of Shs300,000, Lot 5 Shs600,000, Lot 8 Shs200,000, and Lot 9 Shs1.2 million. A pre-bid meeting for the insurance contracts has been scheduled for July 15, 2026, at the same venue.

URA said all bids must be submitted no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at its Procurement and Disposal Division on the 13th Floor of URA Tower. The authority noted that late bids will not be accepted.

Interested companies can inspect and obtain bidding documents after submitting a written application to the Assistant Commissioner in charge of the Procurement and Disposal Division. Each procurement document attracts a non-refundable fee of Shs100,000, payable after generating a Bank Payment Registration Slip through the URA website and making payment at authorised banks that collect non-tax revenue on behalf of the authority.

The tax body said detailed bidding information is available on its website and the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) portal.

URA emphasized that the procurement process will be conducted in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act to ensure transparency, fairness and value for money.

The latest call for bids forms part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to engage qualified service providers to support its staff welfare programmes and institutional operations. The Kids League initiative is one of URA’s employee welfare programmes that promotes sports and talent development among children of staff, while the insurance contracts are intended to strengthen the authority’s risk management and insurance coverage.

Prospective bidders now have until July 28 to submit their proposals for the contracts. (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
