Police is still in the hunt for a lady known by the names Winfred Nampeera for alleged sexual scandals committed around Kabalagala since 2015. It is alleged that Nampeera together with several of her lady friends have been involved in the act of lesbianism for long time contrary to the laws of the Country. Naked pictures of this lady Eng Nampeera and her lady friend (names not yet known) first leaked way back in 2016 in acts that were suspected to be lesbianism. In one of the Police raids at Mr and Mrs Pride Pageant in Kabalagala, Nampeera was arrested and detained for a number of days before being released.
Our sources indicate that this lady is married but her husband suspects she may be a lesbian and that the marriage was a cover up. Government still faces challenges dealing with homosexuals since the law that had been passed by Parliament of Uganda and assented to by President Museveni against homosexuality was successfully repealed in the High Court. This group still faces a lot of discrimination from society which seems to be conservative about culture, religious teachings that bar same sex marriage as well as government which doesn’t allow the act. The first attempts at gay rights marriage faced immense challenges by religious leaders, culture and the biggest population in 2014 and those who had started the crusade disappeared.
