Huge Optimism as UBOS Unleashes Eight New Big Statistical Reports

In a media statement dated Friday 6th March, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics Executive Director Dr. Chris N Mukiza notified all stakeholders about the existence of survey reports which are rich with the latest data and statistical information regarding things like labor market, malaria prevalence, vulnerable children like orphans and poverty-related vulnerabilities.

Other survey reports contain latest statistics on education, human resource, manpower profiling and aquaculture. Mukiza stated that a detailed report on each of these areas is soon going to be made available on the UBOS website where whoever needs to reference on the latest data and statistics will be able to access the same.

The reports and their respective publication dates are enumerated as follows: Uganda Malaria Indicator UMIS Survey Report 2025 (to be uploaded on 12^th March 2026); Orphans & Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monography 2024 volume 4 (19^th March 2026); Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Census Monography 2024 volume 5 (26^th March 2026); Baseline Education Census (BEC) Report 2025 (9^th April 2026); Labour Market Survey Report 2025 (16^th April 2026); National Human (Manpower) Survey Report 2025 (23^rd April 2026); Uganda Aquaculture Census (UAC) Report 2025 (30^th April 2026) and Uganda Harmonized Indicator (UHIS) Survey Reports wave i & wave ii (2021-2024) and wave iii 2025 (7^th May 2026).

Mukiza clarified that each of these will be uploaded on the UBOS website (www.ubos.org) on the respective dates as disclosed above without fail. He encouraged Ugandans and all the other stakeholders to take advantage of the updated statistics, because they are accurate and official, in order to enrich evidence-based policy formulation and decision-making.

“The Uganda Bureau of Statistics assures all stakeholders of high quality official statistics for evidence-based planning, decision-making and informed public debate. Users are encouraged to utilize these statistical reports and those earlier on published for evidence-based decisions,” Dr. Mukiza’s Friday media statement reads in part.
