Mirinda Uganda has partnered with Glovo to launch “Mirinda Send a Smile”, a new experience under the brand’s “Sip a Mirinda, Spread the Smile” campaign, with a mission to deliver 2,000 smiles across Kampala over four weeks.

Mirinda launched the global “Sip a Mirinda, Spread the Smile” platform in November 2025, with Uganda among the first markets worldwide to bring the platform to life. The campaign was developed around a simple insight. Life can be busy, stressful and unpredictable, but sometimes all it takes is a small moment to brighten someone’s day.

The new Send a Smile campaign takes that idea beyond communication and turns it into an action. Through its partnership with Glovo, Mirinda is giving Ugandans an easy way to surprise someone they care about, whether they are having a difficult day, dealing with work pressure, facing school stress or simply need a reason to smile.

How to Send a Smile

The experience is simple. WhatsApp Mirinda Uganda on +256 791 131 122 to get started.
Tell Glovo who you would like to send a smile to a friend who could use a little joy.
Place the order through Glovo and personalise your message to the recipient. Within an hour, the recipient receives a surprise package containing a Mirinda, a personal message from their friend and an additional gift at no cost!

Through this experience, Mirinda aims to create thousands of unexpected moments of happiness across Kampala, proving that spreading a smile does not have to be complicated.

Speaking about the campaign, Pearl Kitimbo, Brand Manager for Mirinda at Crown Beverages Limited, said:

“Mirinda has always been about bringing colour, energy and fun into people’s lives. With Send a Smile, we wanted to take that a step further and give people a simple way to brighten someone else’s day. Whether you are stuck in traffic, coming out of a long day at work or dealing with the pressures of school, sometimes a small unexpected gesture can completely change your mood. We want Mirinda to be that trigger for a smile.”

The partnership with Glovo also brings together two brands that understand the importance of convenience, digital engagement and everyday experiences.

“Glovo is thrilled to partner with Mirinda to power the ‘World’s First Smile Delivery Service”. At Glovo, our mission goes beyond delivering food and groceries; this campaign proves our platform’s ability to deliver emotional connection, surprise, and joy directly to doorsteps,” Clifford Mugerwa, Snr. Brand Ads Analyst, Glovo Uganda.

By combining Mirinda’s ability to create moments of joy with Glovo’s delivery network, Send a Smile allows consumers to turn a simple thought into an experience delivered directly to someone’s doorstep.

Mirinda is calling on Kampala residents to nominate someone who deserves a smile and become part of the movement. One message. One free delivery. One smile at a time. Sip a Mirinda. Spread the Smile.
