Yasin Omari has hosted Hajji Semambo, the Chairman of Makindye Mituba III in the Buganda Kingdom hierarchy, with both leaders pledging to complement each other while serving the people of Makindye Division.
The meeting in Muyenga, also attended by KCCA and PDM officials, ended with both sides committing to _“full cooperation for the good of Makindye”. It comes as the new Makindye Division Urban Council takes shape ahead of its term, which officially commences on 25th May 2026* after members take their respective oaths.
Mayor-elect Omari has emphasized working with all stakeholders, including the Kingdom, to improve health, sanitation, and urban order.
“Shukran for the courtesy call. We shall cooperate fully,” Omari said after the engagement, signaling an early push to build cross-institutional ties before taking office.
