On Thursday early afternoon, two influential Museveni RDCs narrowly survived death when the vehicle they were traveling in suddenly suffered tire bursts and came to a halt.
The two youthful RDCs, who must go and slaughter their chicken, are Kagenyi Lukka and Prossy Mwanjuzi. Whereas Lukka serves as Deputy RCC for Kawempe Division in Kampala, Mwanuyzi is the Deputy RDC Mityana district.
The accident happened at a place called Kirasi in Maddu Gomba, not very far from Kisozi. The duo was on their way to Ssembabule to participate in the burial of their colleague Mark Baingana, the Makindye Division RCC, who died days earlier.
Gratefully, no serious external injuries were sustained though the two understandably discontinued their journey to Ssembabule.
It was apparent that the two suffered plenty of nervous shock, which is why responders aided them to seek medical intervention at Maddu Health Centre where it was hoped any invisible danger could be assessed and ascertained from.
We spoke to one of them, Kagenyi Lukka, moments after the incidence and he confirmed they had thankfully escaped without any major external injury though the damage to the vehicle they were travelling in was extensive.
