Inside the December State House Meeting Where Foreign Affairs Bosses Messed Up M7’s Visiting Heads of State Meet & Got Themselves Banished

By Mulengera Reporters

Last December, President Museveni instructed his PPS Gloria Omaswa to ring a list of carefully-selected officials from the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MoFA) calling on them to attend a series of sensitive and diplomatically-consequential meetings at Entebbe State House.

The meetings involved some foreign heads of states and their respective dissidents. The big man from Rwakitura was hosting the meetings to help deescalate regional conflicts between these visiting heads of state and these adversaries, some of whom were even involved in armed insurrection of some sort. Other attendees were members of warring armed factions from some of the Great Lakes region’s armed conflict-riddled countries.

The MoFA officials had to be around because some of them serve as the H.E.’s special envoys in the pacification of those very regional countries and there was need for them to be part of the discussions so that, in future, once called upon to follow up, they are able to effectively do the needful.

On arrival, the MoFA officials found when Gen Museveni was first finishing some other engagements before calling them in. As instructed, staff from Omaswa’s PPS office led members of each delegation to specific waiting rooms where the big man from Rwakitura preferred to have them wait from. There are certain delegations whose members he never wanted to know about presence of certain key actors in another delegation whose members were in State House at the same time. Professional and compliant to instructions as always, Omaswa strictly did as instructed.

However, when the waiting hours became prolonged, one of the envoys from the Foreign Affairs Ministry, renowned for being chaotic and naturally a restless person, began moving around peeping into the other waiting rooms to see who else was in State House at that same moment. The gentleman ended up messing up what Omaswa had carefully arranged. He kept asking members from the different delegations, including representatives of foreign heads of state that he was well familiar with, to relocate to go sit and wait from what he considered more befitting waiting rooms, given their importance and seniority the way he knows them.

In the end, the Mr. Know It All ended up blowing up the cover off many of the big man’s high profile guests. People who the big man never wanted to be aware of the presence of their arch adversaries ended up realizing that their rivals were actually present yet this hadn’t been disclosed prior by their host who risked ending up being misunderstood and accused of treachery. In the end, the big man from Rwakitura was very furious with his PPS Omaswa who he furiously rebuked for departing from the strict instructions she had been given.

Omaswa turned the fire on her office staff demanding to know why they had changed the waiting room-sitting arrangement for the big man’s such high profile guests. The PPS office staff revealed it was Mr. Know It All who personally had altered the sitting arrangement of Gen Museveni’s guests.

Understandably, Omaswa was so angry with Mr. Know It All. She immediately confronted him in the presence of his colleagues from MoFA and barked at him. She unequivocally told him never to dare return to State House for as long as she was PPS. He was threatened with arrest if he didn’t stop undermining the PPS’s core mandate and work. Mr. Know It All shrunk as Omaswa insisted on demolishing him infront of MoFA staff, some of whom are way more junior to him.

Mr. Know It All, its feared, will be using his newly-acquired promotion to do retribution targeting the officials who witnessed his admonition by Gloria Omaswa. He was angry that the eye witnesses from MoFA shared the information once back at office in Kampala at the Ministry headquarters, a thing that greatly diminished him yet he was supposed to be the invincible power broker with unlimited access to Gen Museveni’s State House.
