Ugandan women’s empowerment advocate Dr Aisha Ruth Kasolo Biyinzika has delivered another powerful message encouraging people not to give up on doing good despite disappointment and discouragement.

In a heartfelt message shared online, Dr Kasolo addressed the growing frustration many people feel after helping others but receiving little or nothing in return. According to her, many followers often write to her expressing deep exhaustion and disappointment after supporting friends, relatives or colleagues who later walk away without gratitude or loyalty.

She noted that this experience has made many people question whether it is still worth helping others. Some, she said, feel used and abandoned after investing their time, resources and kindness into people who later forget them.

Dr Kasolo warned that this growing discouragement is pushing many individuals to withdraw from acts of kindness and generosity. However, she urged people not to allow disappointment to turn them away from doing good.

Her message stressed that the reward for kindness does not always come from the same people who benefited from it. Instead, she explained, the results of good deeds often appear later and sometimes through completely unexpected paths.

To illustrate this point, Dr Kasolo shared a powerful real-life experience she encountered. She recalled meeting a man during a job-related interaction who suddenly recognized her family connection. The man explained that her father had once helped him after he graduated and played a role in helping him secure a job.

That act of kindness, she explained, had stayed in the man’s memory for years. When the moment came, the gratitude resurfaced and influenced how he treated her.

Dr Kasolo used the story to highlight how good deeds can travel far beyond the moment in which they are done. Even when appreciation is not immediately visible, she said the impact of kindness continues to live on.

Her message encourages people to remain patient and hopeful, reminding them that goodness always carries a reward, even if it arrives through unexpected people or situations.
