Former Kumi Woman MP Monica Amoding has evidently fallen on hard times, financially speaking. This comes after Court authorized Wilson Road-Based Nile General Auctioneers in Kampala to sell off the former MP’s residence in Luzira Nakawa Division.
The only way Amoding can save her plush residence in Luzira is by paying off a debt of hundreds of millions within 30 days counting from Tuesday 18th May.
The very enterprising politician, who is also a Makerere-trained lawyer, borrowed the money to recapitalize her company, Crane Bridge Uganda, a few years ago but the thing has since accumulated into an elephant she has been unable to circumvent.
In case of inability to pay the monies owed, Amoding has been required by court to vacate the house within 14 days to enable the bailiffs effectively look for a buyer.
The prime property, whose impending loss has made Amoding, who started out as national youth female MP, very tearful, is particularized as Block 243 Plot 615 Kyadondo County Luzira in Kampala district’s Nakawa Division.
