The Uganda Wildlife Authority’s (UWA) planned recruitment of 1,300 rangers is being presented as a major boost to conservation and tourism security. Information emerging from the authority suggests that each conservation area now has dedicated veterinary personnel, procurement officers and human resource staff working alongside chief wardens responsible for daily management operations.
