Aceng Confirms ‘MK Is Uganda’s Next President’
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

By Mulengera Reporters

On Thursday, the Government Chief Whip Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng pulled up at PLU National Chairman’s offices in the upscale Nakasero neighborhood where she was warmly welcomed by Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s Executive Assistant David Kabanda.

She was here to append her signature on the endorsement forms unreservedly asserting her readiness to campaign for Gen Kainerugaba for the position of President of Uganda come 2031. She described Gen MK as “my Chairman” and thanked the outgoing Ugandan President Gen YK Museveni “nurturing and training” such a great future leader for the country.

Aceng, who was proud to closely be associated with Gen MK who she described as Uganda’s President from 2031 “onwards,” became part and parcel of the PLU universe from early this year and also sits on the League’s Central Executive Committee. She also sits on the MK Fund, a charity arm through which the PLU Supremo is already doing philanthropy.

Her close association with Uganda’s crown prince has placed Aceng at the very apex of political power in her native Lango sub region where her political influence is currently unrivalled.

When the leadership positions at Parliament were being allocated in July, whoever landed a lucrative assignment credited it on Aceng and some of those who missed out went cursing; with some of them falsely claiming they missed on the list simply because Aceng didn’t weigh in and whisper to the President in their favour.

It’s naturally expected that, being a PLU CEC member, Aceng (who is also privileged to sit in NRM CEC meetings) will be leading the grand mobilization for Gen MK in the Lango sub region as the country counts down to bidding farewell to Gen YK Museveni come 2031.
