The Standards, Utilities and Wildlife Court in Makindye has sentenced two men to four years in prison after finding them guilty of stealing water meters and tampering with National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) works.
The convicts, Ddumba Aramanzani and Nadangira Marvin, were sentenced on Thursday, 9th September 2026, by His Worship Akena Godfrey in the case of Uganda v. Ddumba Aramanzani & Nadangira Marvin, CRB No. 165/2026.
Court heard that on 24th August 2026, at about 5:00 a.m. in Kiteezi Lusanja Zone, Kasangati Division, Wakiso District, the two unlawfully interfered with an NWSC water pipe and stole water meters belonging to the Corporation.
Prosecution told the court that each accused faced 18 counts related to water meter theft and tampering with NWSC works. The charges were read to them and both pleaded guilty to all counts.
