Kampala’s weekend entertainment scene is about to shift gears as a new wave of urban sound takes centre stage. This Saturday, September 5, 2026, Vibez Nzuri returns with an edition built around fresh talent, fresh tunes, and DJs bringing something new to the turntables all wrapped in the outdoor energy the brand is known for.
Set to take place at Gazebo, opposite Total Najjera, the event brings together friends, music lovers, and urban culture enthusiasts for an afternoon designed to spotlight the next generation of sound. Gates open at 2:00 PM.
True to its name, Vibez Nzuri, meaning good vibrations, the event has always been about more than entertainment. This edition doubles down on that mission, positioning itself as a launchpad for the new wave of artists and selectors reshaping Africa’s urban culture.
Headlining the new wave push are live performances from Tai Dai, Tungi, and Mke Mincu, three acts bringing distinct, contemporary energy to the Vibez Nzuri stage.
Backing them is a DJ lineup built to keep that fresh-tunes momentum going non-stop: DJ Alza, DJ Damze, DJ Rishad, Hyperman Paul, DJ Trevor, and Jollet — each set to bring their own flavour to the decks and keep the crowd moving from afternoon into night.
Vibez Nzuri Team Lead Brian Owomugisha says the new wave direction reflects where the brand’s community has been heading all along.
“We are excited about how Vibez Nzuri continues to grow and attract more people with every edition. People are connecting with the kind of experiences we are creating spaces where friends can come together, enjoy good music, interact, and simply have a good time,” Owomugisha said.
He noted that as the community expands, giving a platform to rising performers and creatives remains central to the brand.
“Vibez Nzuri has always been about more than entertainment. One of the reasons we exist is to create space for talented artists, DJs, and creatives whose voices and talents deserve to be seen and heard. There is so much creativity within our urban culture, and we want to continue creating opportunities for people to showcase what they can do while connecting them with new audiences.”
Owomugisha added that the new wave energy is meant to be felt the moment revellers walk through the gate.
“Our focus is to create the perfect outdoor vibe for friends to vibe. We want people to come through, enjoy the music, discover great talent, interact with friends, and leave with memories. Every edition should feel like an experience from the moment you walk in.”
With fresh sound at its heart and community at its centre, Vibez Nzuri continues to carve its own lane on Kampala’s entertainment calendar, this Saturday, leading with new talent and new energy.

Early ticket buyers will have an opportunity to buy tickets at Shs 20,000, while entry at the gate will cost Shs 40,000.
