Norbert Mao has predicted relegation of his former proteges and political allies Mukasa Mbidde and SG Gerald Siranda inside the Anita Among universe as the country counts down to the speakership vote.
Addressing reporters at DP headquarters during the Tuesday press conference, Mao said that his two DP fellow NEC members had jumped onto the Among campaign caravan expecting to be the most conspicuous and most consequential kingmakers inside there but are soon going to become the most unwanted.
He asserted that the job of being leading handler and cheerleaders’ coordinator in the Anita Among universe has clearly been galvanized by the more versatile Justin Namere, the Masaka City Woman MP-Elect, who can do it much better than either Mbidde or Siranda.
Mao said that by the time the Speakership race is concluded, Namere will deeply have entrenched herself as the key handler and coordinator in the Among universe and the two DP NEC members will find themselves with no role. He predicted that Anita Among will soon discard the two DP leaders who may never have any access to her once the Speakership vote is concluded. He added that the two DP leaders can’t have permanent relevancy to Anita Among since they aren’t Members of Parliament and therefore don’t vote.
Promising to keep the DP door open however and whenever the duo chooses to return back home, Mao wondered what had suddenly pushed his otherwise very able Deputy President Mukasa Mbidde into shunning him while opting to flock with Anita Among who he contemptuously referred to as the ‘flag bearer’ of corruption in the 2026 Speakership race.
