In a fiery TikTok video that has ignited conversations across social media, Dr Aisha Ruth Kasolo Biyinzika, the GROW Project Coordinator, issued a bold warning to women trapped in endless promises from their husbands.
Dr Kasolo, who leads the Generating Growth Opportunities and Productivity for Women Enterprises (GROW) project, explained that some lies from spouses are meant to be accepted, such as compliments about beauty or looks. However, she drew a hard line when it comes to broken promises that stretch for years.
She said that a wise woman knows when a promise has turned into a lifelong delay and that women should question promises that remain unfulfilled for too long. She urged women to stop waiting if they have been renting for more than ten years without progress toward building a family home.
Dr Kasolo warned that waiting too long is not love but a cycle of excuses, and she encouraged women to analyze their lives and demand action rather than just hearing words.
She emphasized that women should not settle for unfulfilled promises simply because a man is their husband, and she suggested that if a dream is delayed for too long, it becomes a lie.
The video has sparked heated debate online, with many praising Dr Kasolo for empowering women, while others argue her message challenges traditional marital roles.
But one thing is clear: Dr Aisha Ruth Kasolo’s words have struck a nerve, and women are listening. (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
