Saying Kyagulanyi Is a M7 Project To Destroy Buganda, Abed Bwanika Vows To Camp in Kampala to De-campaign NUP’s Rubongoya & Nakawa’s Waiswa

By Mulengera Reporters

Kimanya-Kabonera MP Abed Bwanika of Mathias Mpuuga’s DF has vowed not to ever rest politically until the Robert Kyagulanyi scheme to politically destroy all credible leaders in Buganda, is defeated once and for all.

Bwanika, who now regrets ever flattering Kyagulanyi with titles like Mr. President, says that senior leaders like himself have a generational duty and moral obligation to explain until everyone gets to understand that Bobi Wine isn’t here to promote any legitimate opposition cause to make Uganda a better-governed country.

That he is here to weaken the opposition and make it easy for Gen Museveni and his descendants to rule Uganda for an eternity.  Speaking on CBS FM on Saturday, Bwanika made NUP MP Abdullah Kiwanuka of Mukono North to cry prime tears when he said that the NUP decision to front David Lewis Rubongoya for Kampala Central MP Seat and Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro for the position of Nakawa East was part of the Kyagulanyi broader strategy and assignment to kill off organic politicians from Buganda while propping those from other regions of Uganda.

He added that there is no justification for a powerful and well capacitated person like Rubongoya to stand in Kampala Central where he doesn’t have any connection-no business, no family roots and no residence there; instead of standing in Western Uganda where NUP lacks candidates. Bwanika said the natural candidate should have been Lord Councillor Moses Katabu who is a Muganda, a son of Kampala Central and who is more experienced in Kampala politics where he has struggled and suffered for roughly 30 years of anti-Museveni struggling.

Bwanika said he will never forgive Bobi Wine for sacrificing a vibrant Muganda politician like Moses Katabu in favour of Rubongoya who he called an alien to the political terrain of Kampala.  Bwanika likened Rubongoya to President Museveni of NRM where he gets any seat he chooses without being subjected to competition.

He added that NUP has no moral authority to lead the struggle against Museveni’s NRM because the party is full of dictatorship which is why no internal elections ever take place as its one-man Kyagulanyi who chooses who takes which position. He was challenged by Kiwanuka to explain why he didn’t complain in 2020 when the same Kyagulanyi dictatorship was used to declare him the NUP candidate for Kimanya-Kabonera, something which he failed to satisfactorily respond to.

Bwanika also spoke about lack of credible and functioning party structures as another evidence of dictatorship and lack of democracy and transparency inside NUP. He also castigated Bobi Wine for fronting Waiswa Mufumbiro for Nakawa East MP slot while sacrificing more senior, experienced and more popular Eng Ronald Nsubuga Balimwezo (the incumbent) simply because he is a vibrant Muganda, a tribe whose political luminaries have to be destroyed in a scheme he said was knowingly being facilitated and enabled by Bobi Wine.

He said that PFF’s Michael Kabaziguruka for Nakawa East can’t be compared or likened to Waiswa, even when he isn’t a Muganda too, because for him has real roots in Nakawa. It’s where he has grown up from and it’s where his father the late Kabaziguruka produced and raised them from because he has an old residence in Luzira parish and permanent home there unlike the Waiswas and Rubongoya who are clearly merely imposing themselves onto the people of Kampala.

Bwanika was in total agreement with DF Spokesman Moses Kasibante who days earlier had made it clear the Waiswa/Rubongoya and Kabaziguruka situations where clearly distinguishable because for the PFF elections chief, Nakawa is home where he was born and grew up from unlike Kyagulanyi’s proteges (Rubongoya and Mufumbiro) who are merely imposing themselves on the people while trying to leverage the cosmopolitan nature of the two Kampala constituencies.

Ironically, the very Kyagulanyi crowd a few years ago wildly cheered when the same Abed Bwanika disputed Kizza Besigye’s suitability to get votes in Buganda (at the expense of Kyagulanyi and other sons of the soil) simply because he comes from Western Uganda, just like David Lewis Rubongoya who he is now bashing.
