Kalungu West MP Gonzaga Sewungu Katamba recently represented government and served as a substitute chief guest recently as Trinity College Nabbingo celebrated 83 years of existence. This was after Vice President Jessica Alupo, who was supposed to be the guest of honor, went AWOL.
This was a big day for the school and the organizers, upon realising that Alupo had thrown them under the bus without giving them adequate notice, implored big man Sewungu, who was the biggest of all those present, to step in and save the day.
Sewungu, comical as always, said there was nothing wrong with stepping in to fill the Alupo vacuum since he would soon be a big man in the executive branch of government under the Presidency of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.
He saw this as an opportunity to rehearse for what will be becoming a reality in a few months time as he is certain that his boss Bobi Wine will be Uganda’s next president come 2026.
Being a staunch Catholic, Honorable Joseph Sewungu Katamba (a Ugandan Munyarwanda) couldn’t miss out on Trinity College Nabbingo’s very big day. He indeed saved the day, stepping in and cleaning up the mess that resulted from Jessica Alupo’s absence.
