As per PSST Keith Muhakanizi’s written directive, Friday March 23rd was the last day by which all government employees are supposed to have got their payment for the month of March to enable them plan for Easter. Reliable government sources say President Museveni, desirous to appease the government workers, is the one who a few days ago prompted the authorities at the treasury to ensure this happens. And indeed as of Friday, many of the accounting officers had already signed off payments for the month of March and thereby sparking off early celebrations among many of the government employees in the different MDAs. So if you are a land lord or any other creditor, expecting money from such government employees, make sure they pay you in the coming days before they blow up all the money on the Easter Bonanza that commences this very weekend with the celebration of Palm Sunday.
