Determined to always lead from the front when it comes to confessing being a recipient of controversial money at Parliament, Bukoto South MP Twaha Kagabo has once again stepped forward to become the first legislator to publicly confess to have pocketed Shs100m Easter package that recently created uproar on social media.
Appearing on Adam Kungu’s political talk show on Sanyuka TV, Kagabo said he personally received the money and knows many other fellow legislators who received theirs too.
He said he was intrigued to see some of the colleagues he is sure received the money rushing to deceptively append their signatures on the LoP Joel Ssenyonyi-instigated list of MPs purpoting to castigate the President for his generosity.
Kagabo said he recalls how some of those colleagues came dressed in order to disguise themselves as they picked their share. He vowed to expose them while engaging in the name & shame of some sort should he get provoked by any of them in the coming days.
This is not the first time Kagabo is making such confessions. In the past he went as far as turning up at Parliament with money which he purported to be forfeiting back after the NUP party, to which he belonged as of that time, required him to.
Things backfired when the then LoP became ambivalent, leaving Kagabo to die in his own movie. He ended up being subjected to very humiliating investigations by the IGG. And during the Friday Sanyuka TV show, Kagabo indicated that such isolation and having to stand alone was the price he has to always be prepared to pay for telling the truth.
