As you read this, the final lists for NUP flag bearers for hundreds of MP Seats are being fine-tuned to ensure that all the Is are dotted and all the Ts are crossed.
As he embarked on his campaigns in Busoga this Monday morning, Bobi Wine the party president reportedly directed people at the Kavule-based NUP secretariat and more so Elections Management Committee (EMC) Chairperson Harriet Chemutai to release the list this Monday evening without fail.
And that exactly is what is going to happen. The lists will, as always, be released by way of being posted on all the party’s social media platforms.
Multiple Kavule-based sources have indicated that many of the officials concerned with flag bearers-related decision making have since switched off their phones or blocked some pushy aspirants who since morning have been busy bombarding them with inquisitive phone calls to establish if they are appearing on the flag bearers lists or not.
As we reported earlier, Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi realized it would be counterproductive for him to move around campaign for presidency without being able to endorse and introduce to crowds who his choices are for lower-level positions especially the all-important MP Seats, which NUP has higher chances of beating NRM at than at the Presidency level.
