Heaven Endorses M7 as Orombi Says God Not Yet Done with the Yellow Man

Former Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Henry Luke Orombi, has said Museveni’s continued presidency is part of God’s divine plan for Uganda, and that the nation still needs the old man to complete its journey of peace and development.

He made the remarks while blessing Museveni’s re-election campaign during a rally at Namrwodho Primary School playground in Nebbi Municipality over the weekend. Orombi said the stability and growth the country has enjoyed under the NRM government are signs that Museveni’s leadership still serves a Godly purpose.

According to the retired cleric, Uganda may be peaceful today, but it remains a country with deep development needs, especially in areas like infrastructure, poverty reduction, and service delivery. He said Museveni’s steady hand has given the people of Uganda hope, security, and the ability to rebuild their lives after years of conflict.

Orombi, who turned 76 on the same day, said the people of Nebbi and neighbouring districts still believe the President has unfinished business in addressing the region’s challenges, noting that poor road networks continue to hinder movement and trade, particularly between Nebbi and Zombo, where food often goes to waste due to transport difficulties.

He likened the situation to a man wearing one shoe, explaining that while parts of the region are connected, others remain cut off from economic activity. Orombi said Museveni’s continued leadership is expected to bridge that gap and help the West Nile region realise its full potential.
The former Archbishop also praised the big man for promoting unity and rejecting sectarian politics. He said Uganda’s long-standing peace and stability are rooted in Museveni’s consistent message of love, nationalism, and equal opportunity for all citizens, regardless of religion or tribe.

Museveni, who was accompanied by the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, welcomed Orombi’s endorsement, describing him as a patriotic leader who understands Uganda’s transformation journey.

He used the moment to highlight the achievements of the NRM, citing the expansion of electricity, road construction, and social services in the West Nile region. Museveni said his government’s ideology of patriotism and Pan-Africanism has enabled the country to remain united and peaceful.
