WHAT EXACTLY IS HAPPENING? Speaker Oboth Grills Minister Kamuntu On Being Told Afande Peter Elwelu Had Been Arrested

By Mulengera Reporters

On Tuesday as MPs addressed the human rights situation in the country, including the controversial arrest of former deputy CDF Afande Peter Elwelu and other senior Generals, Internal Affairs Minister Ephraim Kamuntu walked in.

Speaker Oboth-Oboth, who was chairing the afternoon session, immediately addressed him with “Prof Ephraim Kamuntu, you need to tell us what exactly is happening in the country?”

Kamuntu immediately responded with: “My statement explaining the situation is ready and I’m ready to brief the country even tomorrow as long as I’m allocated time on the order paper.” (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
