Busiro East election petitioner Hajj Kiyimba Abdul, of NRM, has publicly thanked billionaire Hajj Hassan Bulwadda for his generosity, brotherhood and unwavering support as he battles in court to overturn NUP’s Emmanuel Matovu’s election as MP for the constituency.
In a heartfelt message to his supporters, Kiyimba singled out the businessman for special appreciation, describing him as a great supporter who has stood with him throughout his challenging political and legal journey.
“Hajj Hassan, thank you so much for standing with me, for your generosity and your brotherhood. May Allah bless you abundantly,” Kiyimba said.
The public appreciation highlights the support Bulwadda has extended to Kiyimba as the petitioner pursues his legal challenge against Matovu’s election, with the latter now facing a court battle over his parliamentary victory.
Kiyimba also used the message to address growing anxiety among his supporters over the ongoing court proceedings, urging them to remain calm, peaceful and united as they await the outcome.
“I know many of you are worried and anxious because of the court cases going on. I hear you, I feel your pain,” he said.
The petitioner cautioned his supporters against violence and insults, insisting that the dispute should be resolved through the courts.
“Our victory will come through peace and through justice. I am very confident, and I assure you, In Shaa Allah we are going to win these cases,” Kiyimba said.
He acknowledged that the journey had not been easy but thanked the people of Busiro East for their continued loyalty, prayers and encouragement.
Kiyimba urged his supporters to maintain their faith in the judicial process, expressing confidence that the legal challenge would ultimately produce a favourable outcome.
He further expressed gratitude to his supporters and said a special prayer for Bulwadda, whose backing he described as an important source of encouragement during the ongoing court battle.
