MIDDLE EAST TARGETS WESTERN CAPITALS

In the last 15 years of existence, the Muyenga-based Middle East Consultants have perfected their work of facilitating labor exports to the extent that the western labor markets are beginning to open up to them. During a recent public ceremony in Muyenga where Vice President Sekandi flagged off 100 Ugandans for the month of July, the company officials disclosed that inroads had been made in a number of western societies including Canada and Australia for which Middle East will soon be recruiting Ugandans going for kyeyo. The management decision to closely work with ISO and Interpol has resulted into very high standards in the work the company does and thereby gaining acceptance of potential labor markets in the western societies. During the Sekandi event last Thursday, the Middle East management announced plans to commence a labor training academy which will be opening soon. It will be used to add value to the labor exports being sent out.

This act of value addition will also positively impact on the remuneration paid to these labor exports once taken abroad. The academy will give orientation to the successful recruits prior to their maiden flights to the work destinations abroad. A beaming Sekandi praised the Middle East company management for their invaluable contribution towards increasing Ugandans’ employability abroad, a thing that had over the years gradually diminished the scourge of youth unemployment in Uganda. The 100 recruits were dispatched for work in Qatar, UAE and Jordan. Sekandi commended Middle East for keeping their word to ensure 100 recruits are sent abroad every month. This means annually, the company connects a minimum of 1,200 Ugandan youths to gainful employment abroad. The VP urged other companies in the same labor exportation industry to emulate Middle East when it comes to complying with corporate governance rules of accountability, transparency and open methods of work. Middle East has also been accountable by regularly updating the country through the various media platforms on which recruits with success stories appear to showcase economic transformation in their lives.
