Controversial Presidential Advisor Joseph Tamale Mirundi says he was hosted at Kasagama goats’ farm in Lyantonde and spent the entire weekend with the outgoing IGP Kale Kayihura. This is Kayihura’s livestock farm in Lyantonde. Mirundi says that while at the farm, he was surprised by Kayihura’s humility and ability to adjust and adopt to new life very fast. “He slaughtered for me a goat which we ate during my visit and as we chatted he told me many things which made me realize Rwandans are way ahead. They are very smart and I think it’s the mafias who are fighting Kayihura because they want control of the Shs400bn for the installation of CCTV Cameras countrywide. He was already living as a commoner and he didn’t seem to be angry at anyone. We went together to the nearby trading center to do shopping for the day and we actually travelled there by taxi. He is a very free man because he didn’t mistreat anybody and will further show his humility by coming for the handover ceremony in Naguru in a taxi,” said Mirundi who also turned the heat on new IGP Okoth Martin Ochora. “Whom is he trying to lie? That man is too old and in fact I think the best thing would be to let him go because he tried to resign but his resignation was rejected.

He was trying to quit saying he was ill. Why doesn’t he tell all that to the MPs instead of being selective with the truth telling the committee how Kayihura killed professionalism in the Uganda Police Force?” He went on: “This clearly exposes him and it means it’s going to be easier for Brig Sabiiti to take charge since that [Ochora’s] behavior clearly shows he was only put there for regional balancing and he shouldn’t behave as if he is very important or that the job will be his forever.” Mirundi also pronounced himself on the Speaker Kadaga vs. Minister Persis Namuganza war and said they will both lose out if they aren’t careful. “The mafia igniting this war is invisible and quietly watching from a distance. They are going to exhaust themselves and both lose their positions in government. Just watch this space,” said Mirundi who predicted Kadaga’s removal from the Speaker’s office in almost similar way like her ally Gen Kayihura was removed from being IGP.

He admitted conflict of interest because Kadaga (employs his lawyer son) and Namuganza are both his political allies. “The problem these people don’t appreciate. You destroy yourself working for them and they eventually discard you when your image has been battered in the public yet you soiled yourself while doing their work. Kadaga has delivered the removal of age limit and just wait the way they are going to pay her back. She is actually aware of this and she is very scared. That is the problem with Museveni’s government. They don’t reward people who risk for them. This isn’t the way Gen Kayihura who teargased their opponents should have ended,” said Mirundi insisting Kayihura’s knifing had nothing to do with Rwanda but with Mafia politics in Uganda whereby many powerful figures want control of the Shs400bn CCTV cameras procurement deal.
