A festive-season campaign has been unveiled by Equity Bank Uganda, encouraging customers to make fast, secure and convenient money transfers between their Equity Bank Accounts and MTN MoMo Wallets.
In a promotional message titled “Tap and Transfer,” the Bank is urging the public to take advantage of its digital channels, particularly the Equity Mobile App and the USSD code *247#, to keep their money moving during the busy holiday period.
According to the Bank, customers can send or receive funds seamlessly from anywhere, at any time, using only their phones. The campaign highlights ease, safety, and real-time transfers as key benefits, especially now when many Ugandans are travelling, shopping, and supporting families.
The Bank says the initiative is designed to simplify daily payments, reduce queues during the festive rush, and support the growing demand for cashless services. Equity Bank adds that the integration with MTN MoMo continues to give millions of users more flexibility and control over their money.
The message comes as financial institutions across the country push for broader digital adoption, noting that mobile-led banking remains the fastest-growing way through which Ugandans access financial services.
