Bobi Wine used his very fruitful appearance on Citizen TV’s JK Live program last night to mobilize Kenyans to massively attend his upcoming Kyarenga Concert at Namboole. Saying this is an opportunity to deepen the EAC integration, Mr. Wine said he was expecting Embakasi East MP Babu Owino to lead a delegation of young Kenyan MPs and ordinary Kenyans to fill Namboole. “East African Community is about us the people of this region and we shouldn’t allow it to degenerate as a club of Presidents. We are brothers facing similar opportunities and similar challenges,” said Mr. Wine as 30 year old Babu Owino nodded in approval. “We shall definitely be there because Bobi is one of us and Ugandans should know we shall always be with them as they fight to end the dictatorship of President Museveni,” said Babu whose Young Parliamentarians Association unites all young MPs regardless of party affiliation. “I know the Speaker of Parliament in Uganda wrote to our Speaker here to punish me for criticizing Museveni but I’m not moved.

I will move to Uganda and prove that President Museveni’s directive to declare me persona non-grata (unwanted) in Uganda won’t work because we are one now under the East African Community.” Babu, who like Bobi grew up in ghettoes, said they have a duty to stand in solidarity with Ugandans to overcome dictatorship the way they overcame Moi whose dictatorial tendencies moderator Jeff Koinange said were nothing compared to what President Museveni has entrenched in Uganda for the last 33 years. Babu said in December, they expect Zimbabwe’s young opposition leader Chamisa & Julius Malema of South Africa to travel to Nairobi for a retreat with Bobi to strengthen their networking efforts to ensure young people become Presidents in Sub Saharan African countries.
