A bulky lady famously known by her social media name “Pacho-Pacho” has finally gone home by joining Full Figure, Ashburg Kato, Tamale Mirundi Junior, Sky Soja and others in Gen YK Museveni’s National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Her anger started a few weeks ago when, upon getting intelligence information that she was a 5th columnist, Kavule denied her chance to become NUP flag bearer for the position of KCCA Councillor for Rubaga Division South.
As if to prove the handlers of the NUP candidates and flag bearers’ selection processes right, Pacho has officially gone home and declared total loyalty to NRM whose top leadership has appointed her to serve as the pioneer press secretary for their 2nd national vice chairman Moses Kigongo.
The gracefully ageing man of the Movement is officed at Plot 10 Kyadondo where Pacho will also be sitting and earning a six-figure monthly salary. She is currently moving with Kigongo-serving as both his Press and Principal Private Secretary.
Pacho-Pacho confirms she has merely gone home because NRM is where she always belonged and operated from before curiously joining Robert Kyagulanyi’s People Power with an intention of inciting antagonism between Kamwokya and then Besigye’s FDC based at Najjanankumbi.
She was on this assignment from as early as 2017 when she controversially ceased working at Bugingo’s Salt Media and joined Kyagulanyi who she pretended to have plenty of support for. She engaged in a lot of flattery, which ultimately got her the ear and many decision makers inside what became NUP in late 2020.
She has already gone public about her NRM conversion and she has lately been moving in Toro sub region (heavily guarded) where Hajji Moses Kigongo assigned her to move around cajoling NUP flag bearers in that part of the country to denounce Bobi Wine.
Indeed, several NUP MP candidates in that part of the country have lately been coming out to denounce the NUP ticket claiming to be too broke to afford the campaign since Kavule isn’t giving them any money to facilitate their campaign.
Pacho-Pacho says it has been easy to convince such NUP flag bearers to bow out of their respective MP races because they weren’t serious anti-Museveni contenders in the first place. She says that the only serious opposition candidate she has sensed in that Toro sub region of Uganda is PFF’s Doreen Nyanjura, who is also the outgoing Deputy Lord Mayor for Kampala.
She says that on her NRM assignment, she has discovered that Nyanjura is engaged into serious mobilization for her Mwenge Central MP bid and that her support is visible in the population. She blames the NUP top leadership for not being serious to the extent of refusing to give its flag bearers cash (Shs3m) for nominations besides omitting to print for them campaign posters.
She also predicts that Kyagulanyi, the boss she has loyally been praising as the only genuine opposition to the regime since 2017, doesn’t stand any chance to become Uganda’s next President because NRM’s support is deeply entrenched in especially areas outside Kampala, Mukono, Wakiso metropolitan areas and generally urban Buganda.
It’s now clear that Pacho-Pacho, who along with Full Figure, Ashburg Kato, Sky Soja and others opportunistically jumped on the Kyagulanyi band wagon as early as 2017 and specialized on abusing longer-serving political figures like Kizza Besigye, is the invisible hand Moses Kigongo and the NRM are using to go demobilizing NUP’s flag bearers especially females in upcountry parts of Uganda.
Knowledgeable sources say she has been facilitated with a lot of money and her task is to cajole as many NUP flag bearers in the western part of Uganda (as she can) to pull out of the race to increase chances for the NRM candidates to go through unopposed. When it comes to maliciously abusing mainstream opposition leaders who had been in the opposition long before the advent of Bobi Wine in 2017, while branding them projects put in place by Museveni to pretend to be opposing him, Pacho-Pacho was in the league of Full Figure, Fred Lumbuye, Sky Soja, Tamale Mirundi Jr, Ashburg Kato, Bobi Yanga, Noah Mutwe, Wisdom Kaye and others.
She one time turned guns on Susan Makula and her husband Aloysius Bugingo, who used to employ her on his Salt media from where she was expelled for being a bad-mannered person, and abused them like there was no tomorrow. She produced countless videos wildly claiming these were very evil people on a mission to appease Gen Museveni by destroying NUP and its leader Bobi Wine. Gratefully, in the end, she has worn her true garments and gone to the Movement where she truly belonged all along.
In going home, Pacho-Pacho has joined earlier ones like Ashburg Kato, Full Figure, Sky Soja and others who decamped and went to NRM after duping and confusing millions of Ugandan online anti-regime activists especially tens of thousands of the politically very unsophisticated Kadamas doing odd jobs in the Middle East and Arab world.
One only hopes that Pacho-Pacho will find the grace some day at some point, to publicly apologize over the countless falsehoods she and others knowingly spent between 2017 and 2025 (almost 10 years) telling about well-meaning citizens of Uganda like Bugingo, Kizza Besigye, the Katikkiro of Buganda, Speaker Anita Among and others-all in order to appease Bobi Wine and be given the ticket so that she gets a job and source of livelihood for her family.
