Annitah Nshemereirwe, a Senior Engineer at the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), has spent nearly a decade on the frontlines, revolutionizing the country’s water supply, wastewater systems, and improving access to safe water.
With 9 years of experience, Eng. Nshemereirwe is tackling some of Uganda’s most pressing water challenges. From urban water solutions to ensuring rural communities have reliable access to clean water, her work directly contributes to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. Her impact is seen in every project she oversees, from design to implementation, making her a key figure in transforming Uganda’s water infrastructure.
Armed with a Master’s degree in Water Supply & Sanitation, a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management, and a BSc in Water Resources Engineering, Eng Nshemereirwe’s expertise is both technical and practical. Her deep understanding of water systems, combined with her strong project management skills, has enabled her to design, operate, and enhance systems that improve community health and resilience.
As Eng. Nshemereirwe prepares to take the Engineers’ Oath, a commitment to uphold professional integrity and innovation, she reaffirms her dedication to sustainable water solutions.
