As part of his Christmas day message as he preached to thousands of worshippers at his Rubaga Miracle Centre Church, Pastor Robert Kayanja demanded that beating and restricting of Presidential Candidate Robert Kyagulanyi’s supporters stops.
Kayanja said that there is need to allow Ugandans to freely express themselves by attending rallies and showing love to whoever they are supporting for Presidency so that the outcome of the Presidential Vote of 15th January truly reflects what Ugandans desire to see.
He said that the President Museveni he knows and has closely associated with for all these years can’t be interested in such political persecution of his opponents. He urged Ugandans and people in his Christmas congregation to reflect and revisit the old videos of the same Museveni rebuking his own security forces for brutalizing Ugandans under the guise of enforcing the COVID19 lockdown and curfew regulations of the 2020-2021 period when the Coronavirus pandemic was at its peak.
Kayanja also preached about restraint and personal discipline which he said was the only way Ugandans would avoid wasteful and extravagant spending simply because they want to entertain and make happy their family members during the Christmas festive season. He called on them to spend sparingly and economically because there will still be life after the festive season has ended.
