At the KACITA Quality Awards dinner, which the leadership of Kampala City Traders Association organizes every year, Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) was recognized and their delegation, led by PR Manager Ibrahim Bbossa, walked away with the award for best Regulatory Body of the Year.
This, as always, was preceded by a rigorous process of traders voting winners for the different categories. That traders took note of their work is indicative of the efficiency with which teams at UCC went about their regulatory, awareness creation and consumer protection-related mandate during the year 2025.
Responding to the news, Ugandans on social media described the award as timely and well-deserved recognition of the great work Uganda’s telecommunications sector regulator continues to put in while executing and adhering to their statutory mandate.
Away from that, UCC was simultaneously recognized under the National Quality Awards 2025 (#NQA2025) for being among Uganda’s most outstanding government agencies of the year.
A message posted on the Commission’s X handle indicated that the UCC management was grateful to their staff for the hard work they put in and to partners and stakeholders for their feedback, support and collaboration.
It was also indicated that all these recognitions had the effect of humbling and motivating the teams at UCC to work even harder and serve Ugandans even better in the coming year 2026 and beyond.
