The Busoga Sub-Region Campaign Coordination Team (RCT) for the NRM political party, under the leadership of VP emeritus Dr. Speciosa Wandira Kazibwe, has successfully completed the inaugural entry-meetings tour across the 12 districts of Busoga ahead of the 2026 general elections.
The very interactive tour, which took place from 6th November to 12th Nov 2026, has been focused on strengthening discipline in the NRM party structures and harmonising the mobilisation plan down to the grassroots besides making preparations for the NRM Presidential Candidate, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni which is scheduled rallies in Busoga from 15th to 21st November 2025.
The Kazibwe team interfaced with District NRM Executive Committees, parliamentary flag bearers, LCV flag bearers, NRM Subcounty chairpersons and publicity secretaries in the structures.
The tour is a first of a series of meetings that will trickle down to the grass roots to improve party cohesion and discipline; conduct evidence-based interventions and data-driven mobilization plans and stir up a renewed commitment to the party and its brand across the region.
The team will embark on mobilisation at the subcounty level and village level after the presidential rallies in the region, which will end on 21st November 2025.
Dr. Kazibwe is optimistic and hopeful about the desired outcomes being realized. “I commend the district leadership teams for the candid discussions during the plenary and our RCT district coordinators for a job well-done. Thank you for what you expend to have this happen,” she said in a Thursday statement.
“Let us all now deepen the mobilization to explain what we shall be doing in the coming weeks, articulate and market the gains we are protecting as well as the current NRM manifesto. Keep the momentum and celebrate the victorious NRM brand. Obusoga okwisanhia n’ Amaani.” She signed off the statement as RCT Team Leader Busoga.
