From Beds to Ballots: Unmasking Busoga NRM MP’s Dark Web of Sex & Dirty Politics
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter
By Aggrey Baba
In a scandalous turn of events in the political landscape of Busoga sub-region, a Member of Parliament (MP) from the eastern part of the region & whose name has been withheld, has been and continues to be embroiled in a web of controversies involving power plays, betrayals and sexual affairs that have left a trail of broken relationships and shattered reputations.
The drama started to unfold when the powerful MP aimed to exert dominance over the region’s politics by influencing the recent National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries.
It has been revealed that the MP had a falling out with the area’s district Woman MP, whose identity remains undisclosed, due to conflicting interests and power struggles. Those close to both MPs reveal that the selfish MP, at a certain moment, attempted to have a romantic affair with the Woman MP, who rejected his proposal.
The MP’s selfish motives, reportedly, led him to support a candidate formerly from one of the opposition parties, as the incumbent Woman MP had lost favor with him.
Sources close to the MP disclosed that his primary goal was to control the district and region’s political narrative and ensure that his loyalists filled leadership positions. The rift between the MP and the district Woman MP stemmed from the former’s disagreements with the district chairman, as the LC5 Chairman had refused to facilitate a job opportunity for a woman (from Mayuge district) the selfish MP had recommended without following the proper procedures.
This friction extended to the Woman MP when she continued collaborating with the LC5 Chairman, leading to a fallout and the MP’s decision to back a rival candidate in the NRM primaries, resulting in the defeat of the incumbent who lost to a new convert to the ruling party.
Adding fuel to the scandalous fire, rumors surfaced that the MP was engaged in an illicit (sexual) affair with the former opposition candidate, who had since separated from her husband under the MP’s influence.
Sources now say that the MP is renting the apartment where the former opposition member stays, and that he’s the one footing all her bills. Shockingly, it is alleged that the woman had aborted a pregnancy believed to be the selfish MP’s.
The power-hungry MP had attempted to seduce the incumbent Woman MP (who lost in the primaries to his alleged girlfriend), as he wanted to enjoy her delicious sumbie, causing further strain in their relationship after she declined due to loyalty to her longtime husband.
The MP’s history of sexual improprieties further tarnished his reputation, as reports emerged of his involvement in a sex scandal with another female MP from Jinja. The MP allegedly disparaged the Jinja MP’s goodness in bed, leading to a public spectacle that reverberated through various social and livestream media platforms. To suppress the scandal, the MP purportedly paid off media personnel in Busoga to maintain silence on the matter, showcasing his control over information dissemination in the region.
Sources told Mulengera News that, through his former Personal Assistant (PA), the MP paid UGX 2 million to each radio presenter (who had picked interest in the story) working at one of Jinja’s top radio stations, owned by one of NRM’s top politicians and a former Member of Parliament. We have been told that the scandalous casanova also paid millions of shillings to the area radio station management (back in his home district) to silence them too.
One person, on condition of anonymity, also told us that the MP once had sexual engagements with one of the female district councilors in his home district and later gossiped about her in a WhatsApp group, claiming how the innocent, young Muslim lady had not enticed him (Mbu she wasn’t good in bed).
The MP has, for years, had no official wife, following his former wife’s departure over domestic violence. It’s said that the MP was an alcohol addict in his early days as an MP, and we were told that he used to beat his wife whenever he returned home drunk. Sources told this publication that the MP even burnt his former wife’s car, but was made to replace it after involvement of courts of law and family.
His wife got tired of the MP’s behavior and left, and since then, the MP has failed to marry again, only sleeping around with any woman he comes across, just like a cock.
Furthermore, the MP’s exploitation of power extended to his personal assistant, for whom he had promised to secure a job in Parliament but reneged on his commitment, causing a rift that led to their separation. The MP’s self-serving agenda and manipulation of individuals for his benefit paint a picture of a politician consumed by greed, self-centeredness and deceit.
Notably, the MP’s initial ascendancy in politics was facilitated by a former district Woman MP who held one of the top positions in the NRM at the time, and now holds a big position at the OPM. Reports show that she even financially supported his parliamentary ambitions and aided his success in securing a big position during former Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga’s tenure.
However, the MP’s ingratitude was evident as he distanced himself from his benefactors and engaged in actions that betrayed their trust and support. Sources now say the MP doesn’t see eye to eye with either of the two women, both of whom are influential in the politics of Busoga.
In an attempt to consolidate power within the NRM, the MP, who also happens to be the NRM chairperson in his district, strategically maneuvered to influence local government elections in the recent NRM primaries and pave the way for his preferred candidates. His penchant for backing opposition candidates in constituencies lacking his loyalists revealed a calculated approach to exert influence and control over political dynamics in the region.
We have learned that in the upcoming 2026 elections, the MP, despite being the district NRM chairperson, is backing a National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate in one of the constituencies where the candidate he initially supported lost in the NRM primaries to someone loyal to the former Woman MP, now a Minister.
He has since decided to support the NUP MP candidate, and rumor has it that he’s even going to fund his campaigns. Actually, the same NUP candidate, sources told this publication, is the one who helped the horny MP get one of the Jinja female MPs to his bed. “Maybe he’s now paying him for the good job done,” the source said.
We have also learned that those candidates he backs and supports in the 2026 elections have to pay him a certain percentage of their term-long salaries if they happen to win the election.
Allegations of corrupt dealings and unethical behavior continue to shadow the MP, as reports of fraudulent contracts, land sales, and exploitation of public resources emerge. The MP, we were told, recently secured a government contract worth UGX 640 million to rehabilitate one of the roads in his own constituency, but the kilometers to be rehabilitated were not worth the amount of money, and the money was shared between him and the construction company owned by the former LC5 Chairman, hence doing shoddy work, which left the road with no trenches or even culverts, as agreed upon in the contract.
We’ve also learned that the same MP was previously involved in a land scandal involving a government secondary school’s land in his district and constituency, where he attempted to influence the district council to sell the land to an investor who wanted to manufacture tiles from the rock located on the land. However, the LC5 Chairperson refused to endorse the deal, further widening the rift between the two leaders, who were once allies.
The MP’s disregard for familial ties and his divisive actions within the community paint a portrait of a politician driven by personal gain at the expense of integrity and ethical conduct.
The sordid tale of the selfish MP exposes a troubling narrative of moral bankruptcy, betrayal, and manipulation that threatens the trust and stability of the political landscape in the district, and the region at large.
As the intricate web of scandals and controversies unravels, the true extent of the MP’s misdeeds and its far-reaching consequences comes to light, shedding a harsh spotlight on the dark underbelly of political power play.
