The excitement was noticeable as journalists became the first official tasters of the newly launched Evervess Malt Pineapple, a premium non-alcoholic malt beverage, at a glittering event held at Euphoria, Kampala’s chic new club in Kisementi.

The launch event was a lively mix of media interviews, live music, and, of course, plenty of Evervess Malt Pineapple.

Sandra Againe, Brand and Communications Manager at Crown Beverages Uganda, led the evening by detailing the vision behind the new product.

She emphasized that Evervess Malt Pineapple is the first malt-flavored beverage under the global Evervess brand.

While journalists eagerly took turns interviewing Sandra, the real test came when they got to sample the drink for the first time.

Those lucky enough to sip the new beverage were quick to react, with some curious to check whether it contained any alcohol.

The verdict? It’s completely alcohol-free. Others sampled it to experience its unique sweetness compared to other familiar malt products. The unanimous feedback? It’s a refreshing, smooth drink perfect for social moments—without the buzz of alcohol.

Rogers Anguzu, Commercial Manager at Crown Beverages, spoke to the crowd about how the launch of Evervess Malt marks an exciting new chapter for the company and Uganda’s ever-evolving beverage landscape. “Our consumers said they wanted something refreshing that wasn’t alcoholic. So we listened,” Anguzu said, stressing the company’s commitment to responding to consumer demands.

Againe highlighted the significance of the event, pointing out that Evervess Malt Pineapple is crafted for those who want a stylish, non-alcoholic option for social gatherings. “This product is for people who want to enjoy themselves without alcohol, whether it’s a relaxed evening out with friends or an afternoon of celebration,” she explained.

She also teased the arrival of an Apple-flavored version soon.

Evervess Malt Pineapple is priced at just UGX 1,000, making it affordable, premium refreshment.

It will be available in supermarkets, local shops, and bars across Uganda in 330ml PET bottles.

The launch campaign encourages consumers to “Start Something Malty” and “Make Every Moment Golden” a fitting celebration of the drink’s vibrant and uplifting character.

With its smooth malt flavor and tropical pineapple twist, Evervess Malt is poised to redefine social moments across Uganda.

Marius Vorster, Marketing Director for the PepsiCo Africa Franchise, shared his excitement for the new product: “We’re proud to see Evervess Malt Pineapple come to life in Uganda, a market known for its creativity and dynamism.

This launch represents a new chapter for the Evervess brand, and we’re committed to bringing locally relevant products to African consumers.”

The evening culminated in a “Golden Hour Takeover” at Euphoria, where guests sipped the new drink as the sun set over Kampala—a symbol of a golden beginning for both the brand and the market.

As PepsiCo and Crown Beverages expand their portfolio, Evervess Malt Pineapple promises to be a drink for the moment, ideal for those who seek refreshment without compromise.

With its blend of quality malt and tropical pineapple, this innovative product stands as a testament to the growing confidence in African markets, proving once again that great things start in Africa.

Evervess Malt Pineapple is now available for purchase nationwide, offering Ugandans a new way to elevate every day celebrations. (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
