Bobi Wine has tasked singer Mathias Walukagga to leverage his talent of being a very creative singer and lead a team of comedians and artistes to come up with a simplified version of the messaging contained in the NUP party’s election manifesto for 2026.
Kyagulanyi says that the NUP party manifesto is very good and is about the new Uganda and he and other fellow Kavule leaders envisage from 2026 onwards. It articulates the ways in which Uganda will change once NUP becomes the ruling government, which he is certain it’s going to become.
He wants every party member and official to break down the core messaging in his manifesto as a presidential candidate and popularize that through music and drama comical skits. He says that he has confidence that Walukagga, being Uganda’s most creative Kadongokamu singer, can condense the entire message contained in his party’s manifesto into a song which people will enjoy listening to while sinking in the message.
Bobi Wine says Ugandans are too exhausted to consume any message that is presented in a serious package which is why the NUP manifesto must be condensed into a Kadongokamu song by Mathias Walukagga, which can then be translated in several other languages of Uganda. He said all this during the weekend event at Kavule where the NUP party manifesto was launched on Saturday.
Walukagga, who Kyagulanyi personally fronted against Busiro East MP Medard Segona, wasn’t present at Kavule but the NUP leader asked those around to deliver his message to him.
