A real estate company faces a PR storm that stems from reportedly selling twice one plot of land.
Betty Kafeero who is a victim of a purported double dealing is the one who has launched a push back against Millennium Estates Developers.
The said company faces the music jointly with it’s Proprietor’s Ismael Ssemakula and Salimati Namakula.
Betty retains the law firm of Fides who are set to give a bloody nose to Millennium Estate Developers and it’s directors should they not settle the matter pending hearing before the High Court Land Division.
Betty accuses the defendants of fooling him, parting with thirteen million shillings, paying for a plot of land located in Sanda village in Wakiso district, losing her hard-earned money.
The plot under contestation is comprised in Block 489 and Plot 1356
After purchasing the land under contestation, Betty alleges that the vendors oddly sold the same to another buyer.
Efforts to get a refund from the brokers, have for the last more than five years not yielded any positive response much as the vendors reportedly promised to refund the vendor’s funds paid for no consideration.
Factoring in interest, damages and penalties, the vendors likely will ultimately pay to a buyer over a fifty million refund is estimated to be times of the original sums.
That is not to take into account the legal costs which would depend on the duration court will take to resolve the matter. (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
