Generous Kabarongo Namara Mugisha, a respected leader and candidate for Woman Member of Parliament (MP) in Lyatonde District, has promised to work hard to address the district’s many challenges.
With a strong background in leadership roles at Makerere University, including Guild Representative and Health Minister, Kabarongo is confident she can make a real difference for the people of Lyatonde.
In her campaign manifesto, she highlights improving education, empowering women and girls, fighting poverty, protecting human rights, boosting agriculture, ensuring clean water, and supporting youth development as key areas she wants to focus on.
One issue that worries her deeply is the high dropout rate in primary schools, where only about 37% of pupils finish their primary education, leaving many without the skills they need for the future.
Hon. Generous has already shown her dedication to improving the district’s health services by renovating Buyaga Health Centre II, which was in poor condition when she first saw it. She has also stood up for human rights, helping a family that lost a child in a tragic accident receive fair compensation.
She believes that “when spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion,” meaning that together, the people of Lyatonde can solve their problems, calling on everyone to join hands with her in building a better future.
With her experience and passion, Hon. Generous Kabarongo Namara Mugisha is a leader who wants to serve her people with honesty and care.
