South African Amapiano stars LeeMcKrazy and Scott Maphuma are expected to land in Kampala on Thursday (tomorrow) ahead of the Amapiano Bash, scheduled for this Friday, May 16, at Kati Kati Grounds.
Organised by MTN Pulse in partnership with Linus Tattoos Studio, the event has already stirred excitement among the youth, with many promising to storm the venue in big numbers for what is being described as a lifestyle experience, not just a concert.
From as early as 8:00 AM, the gates will be open, and tattoo lovers will get the chance to be inked by top tattoo artists from across Africa at a subsidised rate of UGX 30,000.
The event will also feature free piercings, virtual gaming, and other creative zones aimed at promoting art, fashion, and self-expression.
By midday, the music will take centre stage as LeeMcKrazy and Scott Maphuma bring the Amapiano wave straight from South Africa to Kampala’s partygoers. With the lineup confirmed and preparations in high gear, and organisers say everything is set to give party animals an unforgettable experience.
“This is not just a party. It’s a celebration of boldness, identity and youth expression,” said MTN Pulse Ambassador, Lyndah Uwera, adding that MTN Pulse is committed to giving young people platforms to explore and live their passions.
Sidney, also known as Linus, the founder of Linus Tattoos Studio, said he is happy to be part of the event that highlights art in all its forms,notting that tattooing services will only be offered to persons aged 18 and above. He advised interested individuals to think carefully before making such a permanent decision.
Tickets are selling at UGX 30,000 via MoMo and UGX 50,000 at the gate. VIP tickets go for UGX 150,000, while tables are available at UGX 1 million for three people and UGX 3 million for six.
