Finance Matia Kasaijja says in a newspaper story that he has done so much for his Buyanja County Constituency in Bunyoro’s Kibale district to the extent that all his critics, including the three young people who have stepped forward to end his perpetual grip over the area, are ‘silly’ and by extension unintelligent.
He says Buyanja is the most privileged and prioritized constituency in Uganda because it’s represented by an old man who is also the Finance Minister of the whole country at the same time.
That he has delivered for his people plenty of services like health centers, road infrastructure, education institutions and piped water to the levels that his other fellow big men in government can only fantasize about to ever have in their respective areas.
Kasaija says he has done so much to the extent that his opponents have to be “silly” and indeed real fools to say that he has done nothing for Buyanja County. He says that what he has done for Buyanja County is in black and white and out there for even the blind to see.
Those determined to send Gen Museveni’s age mate to the political Taiwan come 2026 include KIU law student Anatoli Kirigwajjo, Ndejje University Public Administration student Catherine Katusiime and Kibaale hospital-based medical doctor Christopher Ategeka.
They collectively accuse the naturally very belligerent Matia Kasaija of being such an ineffective MP for the last 20 years to the extent that residents of Town Councils like Rukindo and Kibale have never seen clean running water in their life time.
They believe that Mzee Kasaijja, who is as old as Gen YK Museveni, has outlived his usefulness in Buyanja County and it’s time for him to go live with and tell stories to his grandchildren in the village including those hilarious stories relating to his Fronasa days.
