A group of family members to incarcerated Boda 2010 Supremo Abdul Kitata, led by his main wife Sumaya Ninsiima, have demanded to meet the President and plead for their son. This news website has reliably established that a few days ago, Ninsiima in consultation with other family members, stormed Bwebajja Police College and ambushed the IGP Gen Kale Kayihura (also Kitata’s mentor) as the man from Kisoro moved towards his car. He actually had even taken his seat when Ninsiima, who came running following him from behind, insisted there was something urgent she wanted to confide in him about. On getting audience, the babe furiously addressed the IGP in the following words: “My husband is innocent but he is suffering because of you. These are proxy wars between you the powerful people in government and your enemies became his enemies. He landed into all these problems in the course of doing your errands yet you don’t seem to be doing enough to get him out of trouble. We want you to use your powers to make sure he is freed.” Ninsiima went as far as telling Kayihura how his protégé’s spouses and children are suffering in his absence and he must prove genuine friendship by doing something unique to get him walk to freedom. She may not have told her this but Mulengera news has it on good authority that the maize mill operating in Nakasajja Township (that was one of Hajji Kitata’s major businesses) has since been closed due to failure to remunerate workers among other expenses. Gratefully, close family members tell us that Hamida Nassimbwa (the FDC women league chair), who is Kitata’s most trusted sibling, has ensured the children promptly reported back to school for school new term and all the relevant fees was promptly paid. In fact relationship to Kitata is one reason why Nassimbwa has lately been facing a storm in FDC with some colleagues doubting her commitment to the party since the notorious Kitata is a chairman NRM party Rubaga District.
BACK TO IGP:
In the less than 10 minutes interaction they had in the General’s car, Ninsiima told Kayihura “you are all we are looking at to ensure my husband’s rights aren’t violated.” Kayihura reportedly looked her in the eye struggling to conceal his emotions and told her: “Now that is complicated. The matter is already before Court and the best we can all do is to be patient to allow the court process to take its course.” This reportedly infuriated Ninsiima who spontaneously told Gen Kayihura: “It’s okay if you have refused to help us we shall seek to meet the president directly because we think he has one side of the story. We must tell him my husband’s side because as you also know Gen IGP my husband is innocent.” She begged Gen Kayihura to use his clout and secure for them a meeting with the President who she hopes must listen to them and act compassionately given Kitata’s indubitable contribution to the NRM party. Kayihura, who had just presided over a pass out ceremony, reportedly advised her not to lose hope and signaled his assistants to rush her to Police Headquarters Naguru where the discussion could be deepened. Since we resent fake news, we won’t speculate on what eventually transpired in the eventual Naguru meeting between Gen Kayihura and Kitata’s family members. We shall update this story once details of the Naguru meeting become available to us. To comment on this & other Mulengera news stories, reach us on 0703164755
