At a Wednesday ceremony held at Kampala Protea Hotel where South African High Commissioner Lekoa Solly Mollo presided over as guest of honor, Uganda Management Institute (UMI) gave out awards of recognition in honor of its outstanding stakeholders including alumni, former Senior Managers, Director Generals and ex-Governing Council Chairpersons.

Dr. Rose Kwatampora, Benfasio Kiwanuka and Dr. Elizabeth Kawuma were awarded for respectively being exemplary non-teaching, longest serving and best exemplary teaching employees. For their outstanding institutional support for UMI, several government MDAs too were recognized. They included Office of the President, Ministries of Public Service, Local Government and that of Education & Sports. Uganda Prisons Service, whose Commissioner General Dr. Johnson Byabashaija patronizes the UMI alumni association, was also recognized for their deep partnership with the Institute.
