I keenly followed A Pumpkin address the media yesterday at the Pumpkins’ Headquarters located at City House Kampala and confirmed that what it was addressing itself on was not a confirmation of double standards but rather a struggle to separate Water melons from Pumpkins.
As we all know, Watermelons are Red inside and Green Outside while Pumpkins are Green outside but Yellow inside.
In DP Re-Union today, FDC’s Hon. Paul Mwiru is at the center of all arrangements for this very important function to be successful. Aware that the almost last serious leader of DP in Jinja Mr. Baswale Mohammed Kezaala, was appointed by Museveni as Ambassador without Port Folio, Hon. Mwiru Paul and Bizitu Moses (the Municipal Speaker) both FDC and on FDC ticket decided to help DP in organizing masses for a successful Re Union since it has always been assumed that we are all focused on the same goal of regime Change.
In the recent clear revelation by Hon. Mao yesterday, it is okay and heroic for FDC’s Paul Mwiru to organize a re union for DP but very sacrilegious for Hon. Nambooze and Lukwago to work with the FDC. A few days back, DP was opening a Regional Office (for the first time) and the Chief Guest was FDC’s Hon. Olanya Gilbert and that’s perfectly okay but if it was a DP MP coming to open an FDC office, he would qualify for expulsion in DP.
Hon. Nakiwala Kiyingi is a Minister in Museveni’s Cabinet and she is still an active DP member who has never faced a disciplinary action while Mwaka Lutukumoi is also an RDC in the Museveni government of NRM. Recently Deo Hasubi Njoki was appointed Commissioner in the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) by Museveni and this made him to technically withdraw from the Busia race by reporting himself to Byabakama that his National ID had a mistake in the name and therefore he should be disqualified. The last though not least is the DP National Chairman Mr. Baswale Kezaala Mohammed who was appointed by Mr. Museveni as Ambassador without Portfolio.
All the above appointments by Museveni are very okay with Hon. Norbert Mao, he has however found a lot of hardships in his members being appointed in a Revolutionary Cabinet (People’s Cabinet) against Museveni regime. Chairman Mao in simple terms says no DP person should be part of a group fighting the Museveni government, he gives them one option and that is to be appointed by Museveni and no disciplinary committee will be summoned to handle u.
To me therefore, Hon. Nobert Mao is not playing double standards as Hon. Nambooze my think, he is only doing is clear separation of Watermelons (Green Outside – Red Inside) like Hon. Nambooze Betty, Hon. Sewanyana Allan, H.E/HW. Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Cohort from Pumpkins (Green outside, yellow inside) likeHon. Nakiwala Kiyingi, Mr. Deo Hasubi Njoki, Mr. Mwaka Lutukumoi, Mr. Mohammed Baswale Kezaala, himself among others who he feels comfortable working with. Maybe the agreement is that when DP recommends you for a Museveni Job, remittances and or kickbacks are given to Mao the individual or DP as a Party.
I therefore request you Hon. Nambooze and Omulord Ssalongo Erias Lukwago to remain proud Watermelons that are sweat with reason and consistent with the struggle against Museveni dictatorship other than betraying the people by becoming pumpkins like Nakiwala Kiyingi and cohort as Chairman Mao so wishes.
