Earlier today Sunday, President Museveni posted photos and a message concerning the hosting of Miss World Africa Quiin Abenakyo at his country in Rwakitura. Museveni commended her for hoisting the Ugandan flag so high and for heeding his advice to abandon fake Indian hair and instead keep it natural “to re-assert her African identity.” He also pledged financial support to her office to enable her operate smoothly. Renowned for his generosity, Museveni also promised financial support to hitherto struggling Miss Uganda Foundation which annually organizes the beauty pageant which this year gave us Abenakyo. From among his close to 500,000 facebook followers came all manner of comments to the President’s post. Whereas many thanked him for supporting the beauty queen and giving fatherly advice against wearing fake hair, an equally significant number of followers took the opportunity to praise Kyaddondo East MP (and perceived 2021 Presidential aspirant) Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi Sentamu to whom they urged the H.E. to hand over the seat. The unsuccessfully prompted Museveni to instantly respond giving his views on the mass protests his Sudanese friend Gen El-Omar Bashir continues to face in Khartoum. Some provocatively argued that Museveni must take cue and forfeit the Presidency for a new leader like Bobi Wine before what is happening to Bashir and others before (like Robert Mugabe, Gaddafy etc) befalls him in Uganda.

M7 DEFENDED;
The President too had his fanatic supporters who put up an effective fight to counter People Power adherents whose endless comments risked making him uncomfortable. Some like Chris Kijjambu used the opportunity to market himself (saying he is a talented footballer) as belonging to another category of self-made Ugandans that equally require Presidential support similar to what Abenakyo is now receiving. Ivan Ainomugisha was so thankful and said all he is waiting for is 2021 to vote for Museveni. Saying Museveni is a very amazing person, George Ogango thanked him for his prior parental advice whose adoption has greatly “beautified our Queen.” He joked that if she had kept it natural from the start, Abenakyo would emerge Miss World in China. NM Agaba agreed with Museveni that indeed Abenakyo “looks beautiful without Indian hair and makeup.” Nalubega Mariam Seguya thanked Mr. Museveni for “the good advice always.” Benjamin Emor Kol Tum, JJ Mugabe, Dee Kaaya and Faredah Zaara said the Abenakyo image makeover was proof Museveni is “a fatherly leader.” Gerald Muhumuza Tibasiimwa thanked Museveni and called him a “good hearted papa.” Revolutionarist Fred Bbosa implied Abenakyo should use her new found fame to ensure all young girls begin taking Jaaja Museveni’s advice more seriously. For Laurent Kalonga, the Abenakyo advice had given him reason to agree with Museveni for the very first time since she was born. But he ended his comment by urging Museveni to “please step down.” Kiconco Phionah, Jo Jossy, Mike Mike and Vick Lamy agreed Museveni’s advice had led Abenakyo to look more beautiful without the wig. Bulls Lo Nimi criticized Murungi K Ronald, who was harassing Museveni for only remembering the Miss Uganda girl after making it big at the world stage and becoming famous. Caroline Nantongo resented the likes of Murungi for spoiling her Sunday by criticizing the President unnecessarily. “Awwwh how sweet. Thanks our President for the good heart. Please do support Miss Uganda Foundation and put a new building for the Miss Uganda Offices,” she suggested. Joining others (like Sarah Kasubo, Opio Edward, Bulls Lo Nimi, Prince David Toya Kilama, Mukasa Nelly, Mogga Stiffen Kenn, Bob Nasra, Mbabazi Joy, Bamwine Obed, Jeff Bossa, Paffekit Daddie, Masturah Nakiwate Igd, MoH’s Eric Kakoore, Esangu Enock and Kyakuhaire Viola etc) who saluted Sevo, Apollo K Ongom thanked Abenakyo for exciting the President in way that has now “opened doors for future Miss Uganda contestants.” For comments, call, text or whatsapp us on 0703164755.
