In her social media post this Thursday evening immediately after receiving the news that her Masaka archrival Mathias Mpuuga had been ousted from the position of NUP Deputy President, Masaka Councilor and next Nyendo-Mukungwe MP Alice Nanungi made reference to two very consequential scriptures from the Bible namely Deutronomy 28:7 and Isaiah 54:17.
The two scriptures are basically about God scattering, confusing and vanquishing one’s enemies and adversaries in different directions while vigorously objecting to their each and every conspiracy. Nanungi has for long been at war with Mpuuga and his supporters after it increasingly became clear that she is the one some key decision-makers in NUP Secretariat are fronting to replace Mathias Mpuuga who for a while has been leading the anti-Kyagulanyi faction of the party.

Her supporters have since been everywhere on social media celebrating and making it clear that without being DP, Mpuuga has now been deflated to the level of foot soldiers who he has all along been disparaging as nobodies in Bobi Wine’s party.
Yet it’s not only Nanungi’s camp that has been celebrating the Mathias Mpuuga ouster from the position. Convinced that this is one hell of disaster from which not even the powerful Anita Among can’t save him, the supporters of Masaka Mayor Florence Namayanja (another formidable adversary for the former LoP) have also equally been allover the place on popular Masaka WhatsApp platforms, like Ronald Kasekende’s Ekyoto, dancing on Mpuuga’s grave.
To them, it’s time for their big lady Namayanja to become the Ag Deputy NUP President Buganda region, a position the Principal is widely expected to proclaim immediately after the Easter weekend.
