Senior Presidential Advisor Tamale Mirundi says Foreign Affairs Minister Sam Kutesa is in problems because of the ongoing clandestine revengeful moves by supporters of Rebecca Kadaga who are fearful he is eyeing their lady’s job as Speaker in the 11th Parliament. By 2021, Kutesa will have served as MP for 40 straight year since 1980 when he first entered Obote’s Parliament and that makes him too senior for anyone to ignore his bid to become Speaker (if any). Renowned for originating weird conspiracy theories, Mirundi says Kutesa’s supporters are eagerly looking forward to that day because the posting will only get Kutesa closer to being President of Uganda. “That man Kutesa used to be my friend and if I still was, I would have advised him that ‘Mzee you aren’t facing this storm because you took the Chinese [Patrick Ho]’s $500,000. No. It’s because you are scheming to take Kadaga’s job as Speaker.’ I would advise him to prepare for retirement because Kadaga isn’t an easy woman. She is a fighter and recently hugged Kateera [nick name for Mbabazi]. Kateera is a clandestine fighter. He never forgives and yet, for reasons I don’t understand, he passionately hates Kutesa,” Mirundi said during his Tuesday political talk show on NBS TV. As the moderator Simon Muyanga Lutaaya attentively listened and looked on, Mirundi said: “That man William Byaruhanga, the Attorney General has duped Kutesa. You clear him as who? Was he facing any problem locally? Okay if you have indeed cleared him, let him dare step in the US and we see if he is indeed a free man. I’m telling you Mzee Kutesa that clearance by the Attorney General is just for the local consumption but out there in the US, you remain an endangered species. But even locally if you want peace, just look for any other position but leave Kadaga’s Speakership because even other people deserve to serve in these positions.” He wondered why and how Kutesa, who doesn’t have previous record of doing charity, could be duped to front the explanation that the alleged $0.5m bribe was received to finance charitable causes. He advised Kutesa to realize that the Patrick Ho’s indictment by the American judicial system was way different from the local graft accusations by envious politicians like Winnie Byanyima which he has previously overcome. This one is a different ball game altogether, Mirundi said. For comments, call, text or whatsapp us on 0703164755
