MPs loyal and sympathetic to Mathias Mpuuga have raised a red flag complaining as to why NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu directed their removal from the party’s WhatsApp forum from where they would access all the communications from Kavule.
As a result, they can’t get to know about party meetings anymore. That first to be deleted was the ousted LoP and Buganda Deputy President Mathias Mpuuga himself where after whoever is suspected to be loyal to him got blocked too. Mpuuga, who claims to have delivered the Buganda vote, has also since been blocked from the mailing list of NUP top leadership.
There is great concern among Mpuuga loyal MPs that even those like Medard Segona who haven’t yet been deleted have lately endured stage-managed bullying, molestation and violent attacks by NUP foot soldiers who a few days ago were instigated into attack mode when the Busiro East MP showed up to attend a party meeting at Kavule. He was responding to an invitation message that had been posted on NUP MPs’ WhatsApp forum.
