On Tuesday, former FDC Deputy Secretary General Augustine Ruzindana sneaked into Spectrum restaurant located at Theatre Labonita. He arrived there in the morning as early as 8am and moments later, he was joined by Gen Mugisha Muntu who is expected to soon have a grand launch for his Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) party. This launching ceremony is very likely with Muntu overcoming the first hurdle to register his party which some had written off associating it with still birth. While at Spectrum, the two Ntungamo-hailing politicians had intensive discussions with each occasionally noting down points. They took breakfast and lunch there and left at around 3pm. Judging from their body language, they seemed to have had a good fruitful discussion and Muntu must have successfully persuaded Ruzindana, an FDC funding member, to call it quits with the Najjanankumbi-based party. After concluding the talks, the two hugged and even took a selfie whereafter they walked to the parking lot outside Theatre Labonita. Ruzindana walked in the direction of Mosa Courts as Muntu stayed behind to clear his parking fees with the young ladies working with Multiplex Parking. Gen Muntu was traveling in a white Subaru Forester and was driving himself because he had no driver.

Perhaps to conceal matters relating to his talks with Ruzindana, Gen Muntu was all alone and never travelled with anyone in his car UAY505H. Ruzindana formally joining ANT won’t be surprising to those who know one or two things about Gen Muntu whose political cause has famously been embraced by mostly FDC elders from Ankole sub region including Amanya Mushega, John Kazoora, Miria Matembe, Yona Kanyomozi, Dan Mugarura and Mary Shemambo Kabateraine among others. Some say Ruzindana might be unveiled as chair of the elders’ advisory council if not ANT party national chairman at the launch. For comments, call, text or whatsapp us on 0703164755.
