According to State-owned Bukedde newspaper, ISO has successfully reconstructed the Budo fire criminal investigations file and handed it over to CID Director Grace Akullo to put final touches and liaise with DPP Mike Chibita’s office to have the Movit tycoon formally charged in courts of law. The Bukedde story shows that former Movit (aka Simpson Birungi) subordinates like Ivan Musimenta alias Muleefu and Moses Lumu plus Flying Squad’s Yusuf Kiggundu, who ISO arrested & interrogated some weeks ago, are the ones who during interrogation made very implicating confessions about the tycoon and thereby diminishing his chances to walk to freedom. “These have adduced new evidence that is going to be used to implicate the tycoon,” Stuart Yiga’s Bukedde story reads in part. As Akullo prepares to take up the matter as guided by ISO, we share the latest we got from our sources referring to the extent to which incarcerated influential police figure Nixon Agasirwe further gave away Movit. “As part of their inquiry, ISO bosses sometime back met the President at night to brief him on the progress they have made on the Movit saga. They showed him information Nixon had volunteered to them regarding Birungi’s culpability on the death of his manager Stephen Asaba and the evidence greatly moved the President to totally give up on the businessman for whom many had made representations to the President begging him to intervene,” said a State House source that is privy to what the ISO guys confided in the President regarding the Movit inquiry. It’s believed when still running the show under ex-IGP Gen Kale Kayihura’s direct supervision, Nixon was thickly involved in investigating the circumstances under which manager Stephen Asaba brutally met his death. His badly disfigured body was in 2010 found dumped in Nakawuka Wakiso district. According to the Bukedde story, Asaba (about whose gruesome murder Nixon testified to ISO interrogators) had previously been accused of curiously being very close to one of the tycoon’s wives on top of controversially impregnating one of the foster daughters at the tycoon’s home.

MOVIT SECRETS; In a related development, this news website has established why its Birungi’s 2nd wife Sheila being visible everywhere fighting for his freedom yet there is another spouse the tycoon engaged before meeting younger Sheila in the early 2000s. “The first wife is disgruntled and gave up long time ago and her relationship with Birungi hasn’t been very good. It appears she moved on and left Sheila to monopolize the man,” said a family source. Hailing from Bushenyi Nyamiko Sub County, Sheila who is in her late 30s first caught the tycoon’s eye in mid 2000s. She was in vacation and was looking for temporary employment. On seeing her, the tycoon was swept off his feet and successfully launched his manifesto. She was waiting for her UNEB results having studied at St. Peter’s Nsambya. She got the job and the grateful tycoon offered to eventually pay her tuition at Makerere University where she graduated as a teacher with a degree in education and this was in mid 2000s. She taught for a few months whereafter the tycoon started for her a hardware shop. At Makerere she had contested for Miss Makerere beauty pageant and was among the top finalists thought missed the ultimate crown. Sheila is an orphan who lost both her parents early and was brought up by Mrs. Abby Sonko, a maternal auntie. Abby hails from Bushenyi too but was married to a well to do Muganda man called Sonko who owned a luxurious home in Kamwanyi zone Nsambya. Many of Abby’s relatives for long lived in this home as they went about studying or even looking for work in Kampala. It was a middle class home, which gave Sheila exposure to life in the fast lane when she was still a budding teenager. “She grew up well styled up and was always mistaken by many to be a Chotara babe. She was simply very gorgeous and the Movit tycoon was her first cut,” says a relative that knows the Sheila-Movit couple inside out. She lives in a palatial home in Nakulabye not very far from Catholic Church called Our Lady of Fatuma. From this swanky residence, Sheila supervises Birungi’s string of businesses in the Nakulabye township comprising of supermarkets, hardware shops and an imposing new commercial building on the roundabout. The Mutoro tycoon Birungi hails from Fort Portal and he married Sheila customarily. She has three fairly young children with Birungi who study at Gems International School in Butabika. The senior wife has two male children with Simpson Birungi who has always exhibited more fondness and affection towards younger Sheila while the main wife agonizes. Sheila is addicted to living life in the fast lane and can afford taking pals to any entertainment center in Kampala to have endless fun. On the contrary the other spouse is introverted and ever agonizing being sidelined. For comments, call/text/whatsapp us on 0703164755.
