President Museveni’s brother Chairman Toyota, who also heads the MK Movement and PLU, has cursed the owner of Lugogo-based Forest Mall and vowed to lead thousands of Ugandans and PLU activists into an angry mob to raze that entire Forest Mall complex to the ground.
He says that the KCCA ED and the NEMA bosses are sleeping on the job which is why Ugandans must take the law in their hands and demolish the entire Forest Mall complex to the ground. He says this will be a lesson to frighten other property developers to begin respecting environmental requirements while erecting commercial structures in the City.
Addressing reporters in Kampala this Wednesday, Toyota added that through inaction, KCCA and NEMA bosses have let down the people of Kampala including those who died as a result of the Wednesday flooding that destroyed property and paralysed traffic in different surburbs of Kampala. He claimed that a total 8 people had died as a result of the Wednesday flooding incident. He didn’t give details to illustrare his claim of 8 deaths.
Toyota added that the way in which the Forest Mall owner has been erecting buildings and structures at Lugogo is responsible for the blocked drainage systems which is responsible for massive flooding similar to what Kampalans witnessed this Wednesday.
He has also demanded the rolling of heads at both NEMA and City Hall which is the headquarters of KCCA. (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
