Much followed political & media consultant Tamale Mirundi has advised his NRM party not to waste time concetrating on ousting Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago because in his view such efforts will fail as before. He says NRM has twice tried to use super celebrities like Peter Sematimba and Raga Dee but still faied to defeat Lukwago adding that for Godfrey Nyakana it will even be worse. “I like telling them the truth even when this is my party. They economically crippled their own people by ensuring Kampala doesn’t have a tender board yet such deals is how you empower your people. Why is it that it’s only Kampala district which doesn’t have a tender board? It’s because they think some people don’t deserve money and everything good has to be theirs,” Mirundi said. “By the way these NRM people are even lucky to get those few votes they have been getting in Kampala because cities are never for the ruling party. Just look at how Chama Cha Mapinduzi has always been humiliated at elecetions in Dar es Salaam. They should concentrate on some other things rather than creating false hope in themselves.”
